Community Gathers at 'Celebration for Jack' Fundraiser
Splash Seafood and Pasta at Restaurant Village sponsors buffet for Gumersell family.
For a few hours on Tuesday night, community members, friends and families came together for a common cause at for Jack Gumersell, at his Long Valley home on March 30.
Gumersell, now back home after emergency brain surgery, a medically-induced coma, and two different hospital stays, was the guest of honor at the Celebration for Jack event, sponsored fully by the restaurant.
A buffet of salad, pasta and chicken was on hand for attendees, who were asked to donate $20 per adult and $10 per child to the Gumersell family as a donation. Splash's wait staff and chefs all volunteered their time to help coordinate the event. Also available to the guests were blue rubber bracelets with the inscription 'Pray for Jack, Our Hero'.
