In its third consecutive year, the Stuff the Bus campaign went off without a hitch, and stocked the shelves of the Washington Township Food Pantry just hours before Hurricane Sandy tore through the area.

Dozens of volunteers came out on Saturday, Oct. 27 to the Long Valley Presbyterian Church, and helped organize goods donated by resident to fill a full size Washington Township School District bus.

From there, the volunteers packed the shelves of the Washington Township Food Pantry with the goods. The operation was put together by the school district and food pantry.

Thank you for this article, Jason. After so many negative, mean-spirited comments on many of the other articles here, it's wonderful to see what the GOOD people of Long Valley are doing.
And thank you to the teachers at the middle school & high school, the kids & parents, and the people at Long Valley Presbyterian, for keeping the food pantry running.
Great job everyone!

Thanks for the comment, LV Resident, and I agree - what a tremendous job by all the organizers and dozens of volunteers who helped to make this yet another success. Well done!

Kudos to Stuff the Bus, and all involved! What a great effort to keep the food pantry going, and in the nick of time, it would seem!
