Cops: All 5 People in Parked Car Had Pot

Four Long Valley males, teen female charged.

Four Long Valley males and a teen female from Hackettstown were charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in a vehicle on Saturday.

Just before 5 p.m., Patrol Officer John Lee came upon a suspicious vehicle parked in the driveway of a residence located off East Springtown Road and noticed unusual activity, Washington Township Police Lt. Mark Niemynski said.

Lee, with the assistance of Patrol Officer Peter Cecere, found the vehicle’s inhabitants were all in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, Niemynski said. K-9 Unit member Kobe was on the scene but was not deployed from his vehicle, Niemynski said.

Osvaldo Reyes, 22, of Long Valley, was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, having a controlled dangerous substance in a vehicle and an having an open alcohol container in a vehicle, Niemynski said. Reyes was the driver of the vehicle.

Jonathan Iramain, 19, of Long Valley; Alyssa Valero, 18, of Hackettstown; Michael Papas, 21, of Long Valley; and Jacob Neumann, 19, of Long Valley were all charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

All five received criminal complaints and were released with a municipal court date.
