Cops: Man Hospitalized After Motorcycle Crash
The following information was provided by the Washington Township Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
A Long Valley man was transported via helicopter to a hospital after being ejected from his motorcycle on Saturday, Washington Township Police Lt. Doug Compton said.
Steven Vanderlinda IV, 24, was riding his motorcycle on North Four Bridges Road when he crashed into a guardrail and was ejected from the vehicle, Compton said.
When Sgt. Brian Szymanski and Officer Roger Garrison responded to the scene, they found Vanderlinda alert and conscious, Compton said. Vanderlinda had injuries to his leg and wrist, Compton said.
Medics from the Long Valley First Aid Squad and St. Clare’s Health System, who responded to the scene, decided Vanderlinda needed to be transported via helicopter to Morristown Medical Center, Compton said.
Vanderlinda was issued motor vehicle complaints for careless driving, unregistered vehicle and uninsured motor vehicle.
