Temperatures are expected to drop a bit this weekend, but hey, we really can’t complain, right? So while you’re putting the shorts back on the shelf for a couple days, see what’s going on around town.
You Need a Non-Food Shower: The Long Valley Women’s Club will sponsor a non-food shower at the Long Valley First Aid Squad on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Items not covered by food stamps such as paper products, diapers and hygiene products are needed to help dozens of families in need. You Need Strategies: The Washington Township Library will host an event on Saturday at 1 p.m. that will explain energy efficiency strategies for the homes and incentives available with them. The event is free to the public, but registration is required. To find out more, go here.
You Need a Quilt Display: The Washington Township Historical Society Quilt Display and program will be up for exhibit at Zion Lutheran Church on Sunday at 4 p.m. A display of quilts–some 200 years old–will be available to view. To find out more, go here.
You Need to Save the Planet: The Washington Township Recycling Center will be open Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 50 Rock Road. Services are free to township residents. Please keep bundles under 25 lbs. for safety of the personnel.
