Festival of Hope, Wine Tasting Ahead in LV

Big issue at township committee meeting Monday night.

 

It sounds like the heat is behind us, and summer will officially end before the week is over. But that doesn’t mean we don’t have a slew of goings on this week to check out.

You Need a Township Committee Meeting: The Washington Township Committee will hold its regular meeting Monday night at 7:30 p.m. at the municipal building. Scheduled topics include the discussion of the county dispatch system and how it’s working locally. Find out more by reading this.

You Need a Festival: The Festival of Hope to benefit Glenn Lightner will kick off on Sunday, Sept. 23 at Ort Farms at noon. Admission is $10 per person, and the show concludes at 5 p.m. Music, food and fun for all ages will be available. Find out more by going here.

You Need a Tasting: The sixth annual Washington Township Land Trust Wine Tasting event will be held Saturday, Sept. 22 at 4 p.m. at the Lodge at Schooley’s Mountain Park. Admission is $35 in advance, $40 at the door. For more information, go here.

You Need a Cleanse: The Washington Township Library will host a Total Body Cleansing Workshop with Holistic Health Coach Marian Carroll. A complete seven-day Cleanse Package will be available at a discounted price. The event is free of charge. To learn more, go here.

You Need Tai Chi: Acupuncturist Virginia Mills will lead a Tai Chi Class at Fordyce Studio at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 19. The event is a gentle exercise for beginners. Cost is $20 per month. Find out more here.
