Festival Provides Hope, $11K for Long Valley Teen

Music and fun filled fall Sunday at Ort Farms with proceeds benefitting Glenn Lightner.

The Long Valley community came together again to support one of its own on Sunday afternoon, enjoying the Festival of Hope at Ort Farms.

The festival was a benefit for Glenn Lightner, a 13-year-old Long Valley resident who has been battling brain cancer since 2007.

Proceeds from the event topped $11,400, according to one of the event's coordinators, Leanne Ajbuszyc. Approximately 300 attendees dropped in and out of the live entertainment event as the day went on, Ajbuszyc said, and was aided by nearly 100 volunteers.
