Flu Vaccine Offered to Township Residents
Inoculation will be available for ages 5 and up Saturday.
The amount of flu cases and virus-related deaths eclipsed epidemic levels at the start of the month, causing panic through the nation and a search for vaccine far and wide.
The Washington Township Public Health Office has announced it will hold a flu clinic on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon or while supplies last. Residents can get the vaccination at the Washington Township Municipal Building.
The available vaccine is for anyone 5 years of age and older, the township said, and the fee is $20. There will be no charge for individuals covered by Medicare Part B.
The health office warns that supply is very limited, and residents will be served on a first come, first-served basis. For any further questions or information, the Washington Township Health Department can be reached at 908-876-3650.
According to pharmacist Mickey Singh, vaccines are also currently available at Long Valley Pharmacy and no appointment is necessary.
