Green Team Meets, Prepare for Valentine's Day

Contribute photos and conversations this week.

We’ve hit midweek in Long Valley, and the weather forecast says we’ll be receiving some snow showers later today. If it becomes noteworthy, we’ll be sure to keep on top of it. In the meantime, though, let’s take a look at what’s going on around town.

You Need to Prepare for Valentine’s Day: The Washington Township Library will host a Valentine floral design demonstration at 7 p.m., conducted by Patti Bowman, member of the Garden Club of Long Valley and graduate of the New York Botanical Garden. To find out more about the free event, go here.

You Need to Post Your Parade Photos: Did you attend the New York Giants ticker-tape parade and/or rally yesterday? Do you have photos you’d like to share with your neighbors? Well, now’s your chance. Go to this article and post your photos directly. Thanks!

You Need to Go Green: The Washington Township Green Team Ad Hoc Committee will meet at the municipal building from 6 to 7 p.m. for its regular meeting. All residents are welcomed to attend. For more information, go here.

You Need to Get in the Game: It’s a relatively quiet day for the West Morris Central winter sports teams, but the Wolfpack ice hockey team will head to Bridgewater-Raritan for a 4:50 p.m. face-off; and the girls varsity fencing team will head to Livingston High School to compete in the Squad Championships at 6 p.m. Go support your teams!

You Need to Talk to Us: Long Valley Patch’s question of the week asks readers what business they’d like to see added to Washington Township (if any). You can find out more, and weigh in with your opinion, here. We’re also asking readers to share their story of how they found love as we approach Valentine’s Day. Join the conversation by going here.
