Long Valley Woman Died of Natural Causes, Prosecutor Says

Neighbor found 55-year-old during a welfare check after resident didn't respond to calls.

A Long Valley woman who was found in her home Wednesday after a neighbor conducted a welfare check on Ann Road died of natural causes, Morris County Prosecutor Robert Bianchi said.

Morris County Deputy Medical Examiner Dr. Carlos Fonseca determined Tracy H. Kohl's death was natural, Bianchi said.

A neighbor called Washington Township Police at 7:10 p.m. to report finding the 55-year-old at her home, Bianchi said. The neighbor was unable to make contact with the woman prior to the home visit, prompting the welfare check, Bianchi said.

Assisting at the scene was the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crime Unit, Morris County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Section, Morris County Medical Examiner’s Office and Morris County Department of Law and Public Safety.

For it is written that Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation. (Acts 4:12) Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven :given to men by which we must be saved."

(John 11:26) "I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: and whosoever liveth and believeth in Me shall never die. Believest thou this?"

John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Terrible story. My condolences to the family. RIP, Ms. Kohl.
Mr. Lotito: I know that you quoted scripture on Long Valley Patch as a gesture of faith and prayer for the good of the lady's family and friends and NOT because someone mentioned that other religions exist. The latter reason would be inappropriate and disturbing.

Unless she had a medical condition - and thus the reason to "welfare check" on her, can't help but wonder what 'natural' causes would cause a 55 year old woman to die. From the previous posts, looks like she had children. Bad reporting if you ask me.

Tracy was my very dear long time friend, I will miss her terribly. Tracy has grown children who live out of state, hence the welfare check.. My condolences to her children, parents, sister and friends~
