I thought that my boys are at an age now when they should learn about the homeless and what that means in their lives," said Henderson, a resident of Califon.

Operation Chillout, founded by St. Luke Deacon Ray Chimileski, is an organization that provides backpacks filled with toiletries and other necessities to help homeless men and women through harsh winters.

More than 20 volunteers spent their time at St. Luke Parish on Thursday, Dec. 16 to help fill the backpacks and prepare them for distribution.
