The Long Valley Green Market has become a staple of local commerce in town on Thursdays, but Oct. 25 will be different.
In conjunction with the Long Valley Village Association, the Market will host Long Valley's annual pumpkin carving contest at 20 Schooley's Mountain Thursday.
Participants painting or carving submissions may drop their pieces of art off between 2 and 5 p.m. at the Market. Judges will analyze the works of art and name winners at 6:30 p.m. Costumes are welcome and market vendors will have specials on their goods that day.
Prizes will be awarded in various age categories.
