Wouldn't it be nice if a band actually from Long Valley won the "Best Local Band" on the Long Valley Patch? Citizens Band Radio is from Hunterdon County (Long Valley is in Morris County), and Railroad Earth is from Stillwater, NJ (Sussex County). So go Gaslight and Mudfoot!

Most of the Mudfoot (if not all) grew up in Long Valley.

And wouldn't it be nice if people could just take the poll without insulting the bands in the poll.

Quimby is good but dont come close to what the hype talks em up to be. They are a band with fans in their early 20's with no mortgages and little responsibility. I think the hype will fizzle as the fans grow out of the bar scene. I cant beilive quimby would even be mentioned as blowing away RRE & CBR

Stacy is right njjohn. Your comment is inaccurate. The lead singer is skinny, but the others are "bloated" I think that's more PC....

I think they sound great. and none of them are "over weight" at all. they play difficult and rarely played songs that no one else plays. its refreshing to go somewhere and NOT hear sweet home alabama, brick house and free bird

I'm sure all these bands are great but - Music is Art which is subjective - so there is no "best" and certainly it is not limited to the 4 choices above.

interesting how Gaslight can have 20 votes for 3 weeks and then jump 30 votes in one day! I smell email fraud! whatever.. They way i see it is, CBR or Mudfoot are the obvious winners in this. BTW who is Gaslight? I know Gaslight Anthem, but I know this isnt them

I believe Mudfoot had around 40 votes for the same 3 weeks then shot up to 60+ votes in the past 3 days in response to the increase in votes for Gaslight. It's great that 2 Long Valley bands have so many fans.

What a joke....those losers from Gaslight up all night voting for themselves. Guess when you don't have a life that's what you do

Well, when you cheat and lie in your everyday life, it just carries over into other areas. No suprise that band is winning by cheating. They even stole the name from another band.

Don't know any of these bands, but if Gaslight is obviously cheating with the voting, why would anyone want to hire them? Bad business move. Why does Patch allow this fraud?

By the way, have any of the people critical of Gaslight every actually seen us perform? Yes, we are a new band, having formed in the spring of 2011, but we would hope you'd come and see us perform live before judging us. Best of luck to all the Long Valley bands...

This is Jason from the band Gaslight. There is no fraud occurring that we're aware of whatsoever. Our votes did shoot up, but I think it's because we asked our friends in Raiders football and all our families to vote the past few days in an effort to win this battle. We got a big response, which we really appreciate, but Mudfoot is doing really well too. It's unfortunate that the commentary has been reduced to name calling. If you aren't familiar with our band, please check out our web site at www.gaslightband.com to see where we have played and where we will be playing. Best of luck to all the bands...Jason

We just want to say good luck to all the bands involved. Votes will come in, in waves people! when we first put the word out we shot up a bunch of votes in a few days also. Gaslight put the word out and they shot up in votes. I know Mudfoot reposted the site again yesterday morning and votes adjusted again, and I'm sure they will adjust again.Thats how it happens, Doesnt mean its fraudulant. As my own worst critic, I feel there are a few bands/preformers that should be on here over us anyway. Remember music is not a contest, but subjective. CBR and RRE are great bands and I know have a much larger fan base then Mudfoot and Gaslight put together. I'm guessing they or thier fans are unaware they are even part of this, or maybe their lack of votes is due to them not being from Long Valley. Who Knows!
On a more important note, I understand Mudfoot and Gaslight will be preforming at a benifit for Glenn Lightner together, So in my eyes both bands are great supporters of their home town and know what really matters!
