Who’s ready to start summer?

We certainly are! And it’s happening this week, along with a bunch of other great stuff. Find out more by reading what you need to know.

You Need to Know About Work Changes: The repair work on Schooley’s Mountain Road between Camp Washington Road and ‘Big Turn’ will be extended beginning Monday. Hours of work will be from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., rather than 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Find out more by reading this.

You Need to Congratulate Graduates: This Wednesday, the graduating class of 2012 will leave West Morris Central as students and head off into (unofficial) adulthood. Crazy, right? If you want to wish these teens well and send them off right, head over to the graduation at 5 p.m. on Wednesday at the high school. See last year's graduation here.

You Need an Important Meeting: The Washington Township Committee will be holding its regular meeting of the month on Monday at the municipal building. The session begins at 7:30 p.m. and the governing body will be taking action on a variety of items. The agenda is attached to this article. The meeting is open to the public.

You Need Some Story Time: Ort Farms will present its first Storytime Down on the Farm program this Wednesday for kids ages 2 to 10. Each session includes a narrated story, craft or activity, and a snack for $4 per child. Sessions are 10 and 11 a.m. To find out more, go here.

You Need to Get Screened: The Washington Township Board of Health will offer a free blood pressure screening to residents at the Washington Township Senior Center from 10:30 a.m. to noon. No registration is necessary.

Have a great week, Long Valley!
