what i suggest is that you sign up for twitter and follow #njgas or #njopen. it is a great social news feed that will tell you which gas stations are open. for instance, right now it appears that the exxon and shell on route 206 in mount olive are open.

There's an article on home page indicating Shell in Hackettstown and BP in Mansfield are open. Alternatively, I have continued down 57 and 31 in Washington (about 15-20 min ride), and found numerous open stations.

Shell in Chester on 206 S (near Dunkin Donuts) was open this morning.

Here is an idea for tomorrow at least. I did it at 5:30 a.m. and there was no line and gas, but it requires 30 mins of driving from the top of Schooley's mountain:

Go up 80E and get off at Exit 34. When you get to the divide just go towards route 15 (go right). There is an Exxon on the right that had gas at the early hours at least. To Get back onto 80W you just pull out of the gas station and hang a left at the fork. Then you are forced to go right onto 15 and you see signs for the 80W exit.

If you can hold off until tomorrow it may be worth it. I also saw a few days ago that if you get off 80W at Exit 34 there is a gas station that is only accessible by that road which limits people getting to it.

Sunoco station on 517 at Parker road was open yesterday with no line.
