Lance Statement on the House Republican FY 15 Budget

Washington D.C. — U.S. Rep. Leonard Lance (NJ-07) released the following statement regarding the House Republican Fiscal Year 2015 “Path to Prosperity” Budget blueprint:

“Today, under the leadership of House Budget Chairman Paul Ryan, congressional Republicans unveiled a budget blueprint that addresses our Nation's long-term fiscal challenges truthfully and in a fiscally responsible manner.  

“The Path to Prosperity plan includes common-sense priorities and policies that will foster economic growth and job creation:  balancing the federal budget in a decade, cutting wasteful spending, reigning in our national debt, harnessing domestic energy, restoring patient-centered health care, strengthening retirement and safety net programs and reforming the tax code.  

“I applaud Chairman Ryan for his hard work and courage and look forward to an honest and robust discussion in the House on the fiscal path of our Nation.  Those tempted to criticize should instead offer their ideas to help advance this important national discussion.”
