Peapack-Gladstone Bank’s Next Step Shoe Drive to benefit Mane Stream, a nonprofit organization located in Oldwick, New Jersey, has now drawn to a close. With the spring riding season upon us, Mane Stream’s diversified programs are in full swing including equine assisted occupational therapy, physical and speech therapy, a day camp, and school and vocational programs. Through their adaptive horsemanship and equine assisted therapies, Mane Stream strives to improve the quality of life for children and adults with physical, developmental, emotional and medical challenges.
In support of Mane Stream’s recent fundraising program to offset farrier (shoe and hoof care) expenses for their horses, Peapack-Gladstone Bank clients and employees, contributed hundreds of pairs of new and gently used, wearable shoes and sneakers at many of its locations, which when consolidated equaled 28 boxes (approximately 1,120 lbs.) of footwear. Mane Stream will receive funds for every pound of shoes collected. In turn, shoe donations will be distributed by ShoeBox Recycling to various marketplaces providing much needed footwear for less fortunate men, women and children in communities throughout the world.
Peapack-Gladstone Bank thanks its contributors and volunteers for making this shoe drive such a huge success and appreciates all those who stepped up to assist!
