Share the Care Run Benefits Morris Habitat for Humanity

This year there was a great turn out for the 5k Share the Care Run/Walk and kids race held September 12, 2013 at Central Park in Morris Plains to benefit Morris Habitat for Humanity (MHfH).  Almost 300 people were ready, willing and able to run or walk, but Mother Nature had other ideas.  As a terrible storm began, for the safety of all involved, the event was cancelled.  Morris Habitat wishes to thank all those who registered, all the volunteers who helped prior to and day of the event and, last but not least, the sponsors of the event.

The event is hosted yearly by the Borough of Morris Plains and organized by RPI design build, LLC.   Through volunteer labor and donations of money and materials from local businesses, churches, individual donors and fundraising events, Morris Habitat for Humanity (MHfH) builds and rehabilitates houses in partnership with local families in need.

This year business sponsors included Platinum Sponsor Lakeland Bank of Oak Ridge; Silver sponsors Atlantic Health located in Morristown, Care One at Hanover Township, HCB Heritage Community Bank located in Randolph and Denville, the Madison Housing Authority, Normandy Real Estate Partners of Morristown, Shenk, Price, Smith and King, Attorneys at Law of Florham Park; and Classic sponsors  Avis Budget Group, Embrace Home Loans, Hilltop Community Bank, and Spencer’s Savings Bank .
