Planning in advance is necessary to make First Night enjoyable. A schedule of performers, along with a description of their act, is provided in newspaper format in advance. It is also available online. Before arriving, you need to select the show you want to see and have a relatively good idea where the venue is situated. With that little bit of planning, you could take in up to 4 shows - anything from dance, to comedy, to a variety of music, and unusual performances. Something for every age!

I had a great time at First Night, after dinner at a local restaurant. Luckily, I was with someone who had similar taste in music!

Hi Carol - was there any specific reason why you felt it was a waste of time? I think many would be interested to know.
