Long Valley 4-H Members Rake In Awards at Annual Fair

From best dog to best chicken, locals make presence felt at Morris County 4-H Fair.

Long Valley made its 4-H abilities well known at the 2013 event in Chester this year, as five residents grabbed high honors at the Morris County 4-H Fair.

Victoria Peterson, a member of the Buckanears 4-H Rabbit, Cavy and Small Animal Club, entered and displayed her different projects created this year. One of Peterson’s photographs – People #1 – garnered Best in Show 

Rob Keyser also entered the photography contest and his picture titled Unedited-Ford Ranger Burst was given honorable mention.

Keyser’s awards didn’t stop there, however, as his English Spot rabbit won Best in Show in the Rabbit Show. Fellow competitor and Long Valley resident Jenna Muszelik took home Best Reserved in Show with her mixed breed rabbit.

As a member of the Feathered Friends club, Charlize Sinko participated in the Poultry Show with her “Jersey Giant.” Living up to its name, the bird took home the biggest award with Best in Show in poultry.

Corrine Rybarski of the Dogs R Us 4-H Dog Obedience Club was a double winner at the fair. Rybarski’s dog, Smarty Pants, won Best in Show for obedience and agility.
