You Need to be Kind to the Community: The Community Kindness Club, a group of students at Flocktown-Kossman School, is collecting new toys to support Operation Jersey Shore Santa this week. Children can bring a new toy to the school between 3 and 7 p.m. each day this week. Go here for more information.

You Need to Nominate Your Dog: Morris County Animal Inn has sponsored a Top Dog contest in 10 different Patch sites, one of which is Long Valley. All you need to do to enter is upload a photo of your favorite pooch with a reason why he or she is so great, and hope your neighbors vote for you! Check out the rules here.
