Day of Music at Church of the Messiah

The Church of the Messiah will present an afternoon of toe-tapping, hand-clapping, joyful, and inspiring music during its Music at Messiah Community Concert on Sunday, Oct. 16, 2011 at 3 p.m.  

Proceeds from the concert will benefit Homeless Solutions of Morris County and the Church of the Messiah music ministries.  Featured performers will include The Joyful Silvertones, a men’s a cappella gospel choir from Fountain Baptist Church in Summit, The Americana Troupe, a bluegrass, gospel and folk ensemble from Trinity United Methodist Church in Hackettstown, local guitarist Dave Heistand and the Church of the Messiah vocal and bell choirs.  A reception will follow with an opportunity to meet the performers. Donation: $10/Adult–$5/Child. 

The Music at Messiah series presents concerts throughout the year to provide an opportunity to share and encourage the enjoyment of music within the surrounding community.

The Church of the Messiah is located at 50 State Route 24 (a/k/a Co. Rt. 513) in Chester, New Jersey.  There is free on-site parking and the hall is handicapped accessible.

The mission of the Church of the Messiah is to be a spiritual resource to its members, both Episcopal and others, as they seek to discover, define and develop their relationship with God and the people and world around them.
