February Display at the Washington Twp. Public Library

February's display at the Washington Twp. Public Library, 37 E. Springtown Rd., Long Valley, NJ is presented by Shayna Reed.  Shayna is a Senior at West Morris Central High School and has been actively taking photographs since she was 10 years old.  She enjoys photographing her two ragdoll cats, Maggie and Isabelle, as well as nature, portraits, and other subjects.  She prefers using natural light in her photographs. 

Shayna also enjoys film, creative writing, poetry, and music.  Following graduation, Shayna will be attending college, where she aspires to apply her photography skills in filmmaking.

Upcoming photography displays at the Library include local school students photos in March, portrait photography in April, nature photography of Susan Ogden in May, local photographers in June and August and Fashion photography in September.

Walter Choroszewski, New Jersey photographer and author, will be returning to do two programs. On March 30th at 7 p.m., he will doing part 2 of his digital photography program entitled  “I took a shot…Now What?”  Walter will help you take the "next steps" in developing a Digital Work Flow and Management plan on your computer. Walter will demonstrate basic photo editing techniques using popular commercial software and will offer tips and tricks for e-mailng and printing photos. On May 30th at 7 p.m., Walter will do a lecture and visual presentation with his unique perspective on New Jersey’s history-- Timeline New Jersey travels from the primeval dawn of the Highlands, through the Ice Age, up to the present. Meet New Jersey’s first people and explorers; take pride in our Colonial and Revolutionary history and celebrate the numerous events and "Firsts” that make New Jersey special!
