Family Creates Holiday 'City' Inside LV Home

Sadloski tradition going strong for 20 years.

Some families create small nativity scenes or illuminated villages in their homes for the holiday season.

For the Sadloski family, the living room in their Long Valley home is converted into what friends now call a 'city'–a village of trains, homes, people and places that takes twenty hours to create.

Nicholas Sadloski is now in charge of the creation of the Dickens Village, from the Dept. 56 collection, which adorns the home for the entire holiday season.
