Long Valley Teen Awarded Scholarship to Prestigious Music Camp in July

Gabby Bucci will continue to strengthen her craft at Berklee College of Music.

While Gabby Bucci’s peers are spending part of the summer lounging, working, or looking for things to do, the rising sophomore at West Morris Central will be furthering her music skills at the prestigious Berklee College of Music Summer Performance Camp.

Bucci, who is active in the West Morris Central High School band as a percussionist and studies piano, percussion, guitar and bass at Valley Music Center, will join more than 1,000 students from 70 different countries to attend the camp in Boston, Massachusetts.

Bucci received a scholarship to the program after writing a an essay on her music philosophy and accomplishments along with submitting three performance videos demonstrating her abilities. At the camp, Bucci will concentrate on electric bass and funk/fusion music.
