Chris Gelo may be young, but he knows a thing or two about horticulture.
The Long Valley resident recently won an award for youth horticulture exhibit for growing and caring for a begonia.
The begonia, a "Sophie Cecile," is affectionately referred to as Ed Bob, according to the Garden Club of Long Valley.
Gelo is one of many young residents part of the Sprouts group of junior gardeners between the ages of six and 16. The group teaches horticulture and floral design and is part of the Garden Club of Long Valley.
