Meet Businesses, Hear Live Music Saturday

Valley Village Mall invites residents to learn more about various shops in Long Valley.

Some say Long Valley is lacking in arts and business, offering a large geographical area with not all that much to do.

But on Saturday, businesses in the Valley Village Mall are hoping to flip that stereotype on its head, offering free entertainment and open houses, along with helping the community.

Valley Music Center and the Studio of Long Valley welcomes Sound Effects Records, which will perform free concerts from noon to 6 p.m. In addition, each business in the mall will hold an open house for customers to learn more about them.

Helping the Community

In addition to the live, free music, as well as meeting area business owners and learning of their services, the day will play host to a food drive for the Stuff the Bus fundraiser at the end of the month.

Stuff the Bus, a collaborative effort between Washington Township Schools and the Washington Township Food Pantry, will be held Saturday, Oct. 27 at the Long Valley Presbyterian Church on Bartley Road from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

On Saturday, a food drive will also be conducted to add to the Stuff the Bus benefit, offering drop-off points during the afternoon-long event.
