Photos: Pumpkins, Costumes Take Over Green Market

Rain couldn't stop market, fun from unfolding.

The final Long Valley Green Market of October hosted the Long Valley Village Association's annual pumpkin and costume contest, which saw a wide array of entries in various categories.

There were 17 carved and painted pumpkins and gourds set throughout , judged anonymously in children and adult categories. Top prize in each category was $20 and $10 for second place. Winners included Meg Harmon and Jeremy Hoffman.

Adult category winners included Annie Anderson and Suzie Donovan. The business category's top prize went to , which delivered a massive, dremel-carved pumpkin that took four men to lift from a truck.

Prizes were donated by the Long Valley Village Association with free donuts and ice cream donated by the local also donated 10 prizes of a free pizza slice and soda.
