Readers' Choice: Best Ethnic Food

Where do you go for non-traditional grub?

The warm weather seasons are here, and we'll have plenty of burgers, hot dogs and barbecue chicken to fill us over the next few months.

But it's the non-traditional food that can capture our attention and make us return visitors to places we wouldn't normally frequent.

So, this week's Readers' Choice category asks residents to vote on their favorite 'ethnic' eatery in Washington Township.

Here are your choices:

(If we're leaving one off the list, please let us know in the comments section)

The winner will be selected on a point system based on poll votes and directory ratings. If there is a tie, a winner will be determined by the amount of positive comments posted on this article and positive reviews received on its directory listing. The Brewpub DOES have a schnitzel and a wurst platter but I would not pigeon hole the Brewpub as ''German'', and the last and only true one around these days (other than metro NY) is the old fashioned Black Forest in Stanhope. I love Brewpub beers but they do not do lagers or ''German'' style beers, more of a Brit ale profile.

If you’re going to consider the Long Valley Pub & Brewery a German restaurant, you may as well label the Chester Diner as Italian. After all, the diner serves ravioli and a couple of pasta dishes. Where did Patch dream up the criteria for this poll? If it’s authentic German food you’re craving, go to the Black Forest in Stanhope.

I like them all but Zaytun gets my vote for authentic, delicious, reasonably priced, friendly and great for take out or eat in.

All of the places mentioned are good (haven't been to Zaytun yet...it's now on our list). We like Pandan for the atmosphere, food, and service . Their other restaurant is in Hackettstown. Yeah, I'm not seeing the Brewpub as German eithe.--compared with the places that used to line Berkshire Valley road.
