We’re heading toward the end of a week without a substantial snowfall for the first time since last year–Shhh! Don’t cheer too loudly; you may wake Mother Nature. So let’s move forward and see what’s happening in Long Valley today.

You Need to Showcase Your Talents: Head over to the and join in the monthly Open Mic night, taking place from 8:30 to 11 p.m. Thursday night. It’s free to all and open to the public. Coffee and drinks are available for a donation. Go ahead–let loose and show Long Valley what you’ve got.

You Need to Know About Court: Municipal Court is in session Thursday night. Are you supposed to be there? Call the clerk at 908-876-3852 to find out.

You Need to Know About High School Sports: has a few teams in action Thursday. Here’s who’s playing.
Home: Boys and Girls varsity fencing teams will host Bernards High School at 6 p.m. The boys varsity basketball team will host Roxbury High School at 7 p.m.
Away: The girls varsity basketball team will head to Roxbury to take on the Gaels at 7 p.m.
