Board Budget, Free Films Ahead This Week

The final week of February is upon us and there’s plenty to take note of, including the start of a new month. Let’s see what’s on tap this week.

You Need a Board Meeting: The Washington Township Board of Education is scheduled to meet Tuesday, Feb. 26 at 7 p.m. at Old Farmers Road School. This will be the final meeting of the board before submitting its 2013-14 budget to the county.

You Need Inspiring Film: Emmanuel Bible Church will host a screening of the film “October Baby” on Friday, March 1 at 7 p.m. The movie is in honor of Timothy Frank Roller. All are welcome to see the movie.

You Need a Road Trip: A visual one, that is. The Washington Township Public Library will host the film YERT: Your Environmental Road Trip on Tuesday, Feb. 26 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. in the meeting room. Find out more about the free film screening here.

You Need to Detour: An eight-month long bridge replacement project along Rt. 57 in Mansfield Township is scheduled to begin soon, with non-truck detours beginning Friday, March 1 according to the Department of Transportation. Find out more by reading this.
