The first month of the year is about to end, and we’ll be ushering the last full month of winter (sounds great, doesn’t it?!?!). There’s plenty going on this week you should be aware of, so let’s take a look.

You Need a Regional Board Meeting: The West Morris Regional Board of Education will meet Monday, Jan. 28 at West Morris Central High School at 7 p.m. At the last board meeting, and the president and vice president were chosen. The board also approved a policy that would allow students to bring their own wireless technology devices to school.

You Need a (Redirected) Mayors Meeting: After months of meetings to discuss a feasibility study that could restructure schools in Washington Township, the Mendhams and Chesters, mayors of those towns have dropped the idea. .

You Need to Vote for a Party: The Washington Township Recreation Committee is looking for resident input on the best way to celebrate the town’s 275th birthday at some point this summer. We’ve got a poll and a comment section you can be heard in by clicking here.

You Need to Watch a Game: It’s just the biggest game of the year–the Super Bowl! On Sunday, Feb. 3, the San Fancisco 49ers will take on the Baltimore Ravens for the 47th Lombardi Trophy.
