The Washington Township Committee finalized its budget recently, including a $35 tax increase on the average township home, and has line items including road paving and new vehicles for various departments. No personnel cuts were needed.

2% Budget Increase OK’d by Regional School Board

The West Morris Regional High School district’s board of education approved a tentative budget recently, which increases the tax levy by the full 2-percent allowed in New Jersey. Four of the five towns that send students to the schools will see a tax increase, while Washington Township will not.

‘Children’s’ Perspective: ‘Eden’ Has it All

Thursday through Saturday of this past week a cast of West Morris Central High School students put on the spring musical of Children of Eden. The cast came together and spoke about the importance of the show and what the production would do for audience members. Best part? It was written by a cast member.

Matthews Takes 6th in State Wrestling Tourney

Senior Wolfpack wrestler Nick Matthews capped off an outstanding career at West Morris Central by taking 6th place at the NJSIAA State Wrestling Championships in his weight class. Matthews amassed more than 40 wins on the season was the first wrestler in school history to notch 100 career wins.
