Chanukah Celebration Tuesday Night in LV

As we come down the home stretch of the holiday season–and of 2011–sometimes it feels like your head could be spinning. So, we’re here to tell you it’s OK to slow down and breath, even if just for a few minutes. Take a look at what you should know about in town today.

You Need to Light the Menorah: The annual menorah lighting to celebrate the first night of Chanukah on the porch of will begin at 6:30 p.m. and is open to everyone. Songs and festivities will be available. The celebration is led by Rabbi Moshe Rudin of Temple Hatikvah in Flanders. .

You Need to Know About Health: The Washington Township Board of Health will hold its final meeting of 2011 at the at 7:30 p.m. The meeting is open to the public and all are encouraged to attend.

You Need Some Winter Sports: The have a few games on the schedule today. The boys and girls winter track teams will compete in the DeSchriver Invitational at Drew University at 4:30 p.m. The boys and girls swim teams will compete against Chatham High School at 6:15 p.m. at the Morris Union Juncture Pool. The boys basketball team will host Delbarton at 7 p.m., the Wolfpack wrestling team will host High Point Regional at 7 p.m., and the ice hockey team will host Morristown-Beard at 8 p.m. Go support your teams!
