DPW Chief: We've Still Got to be Careful

Roads beginning to reopen in town.

Roads like East Springtown and Camp Washington are being reopened one by one in town, according to Washington Township Department of Public Works Superintendent Scott Frech.

Brooks and creeks that flowed onto roadways overnight and early this morning have begun to recede, Frech said, and once they are deemed passable are being reopened to drivers.

"We've got until about 8 p.m. tonight," Frech said. "The National Weather Service is telling me we've still got some strong winds coming and a couple more bands of heavy rain before this is over."
