Music for a Cause, Celebrate Oktober This Weekend

A full list of things you need to know this weekend.

It’s Friday, which means it's time to make weekend plans. There are plenty of activities and events taking place this weekend that will surely keep you entertained and busy. Check out what's the calendar by reading below.

You Need to Cheer on the Wolfpack: The Wolfpack varsity football team remains undefeated after their of the season against Parsippany Hills last week.  Support the Wolfpack as they take on Delbarton High School, a predicted challenge for the team, on Friday, Sept. 23 at 7:30 p.m. at West Morris Central.

You Need 80s Music and Handcrafted Brews: Join your friends at the Long Valley Pub and Brewery on Friday, Sept. 23 at 10 p.m. for 80s rock music performed by Jukebox Riot.

You Need to Listen to Music for a Cause: Head over to to enjoy music performed by local children from the Long Valley Performing Group and by Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter, 13 Hands, to support PTSDNJ on September 23, 2011 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. PTSDNJ is a non-profit organization in Hackettstown offering holistic therapeutic services for women, men and children living with the effects of trauma due to sexual abuse, domestic violence, and/or military violence. You Need to Attend Oktoberfest: Attend the Chester Lions Club’s 13th Annual Oktoberfest and Antique Car Show at Chubb Park in Chester from noon to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 24 and Sunday, September 25. Enjoy children's activities, dancing, games, pony rides, German food and beer, and live entertainment. Admission is $6 per person and free for children under age 12. Parking is free. You Need to Know About Softball Tryouts: Try out to be a member of the Long Valley Lasers Girls Travel Softball Team on Saturday, Sept. 24, 1 p.m. at the . Any girl between the ages of eight and 14 who is interested in playing competitive softball during Spring 2012 is encouraged to try out. Go here for more information.
