Register to Vote, Get College Guidance This Week

Local church's annual rummage sale kicks off this week.

This week is one of those that could be over before you blink, so keep your eyes wide open. Let’s take a look at what’s going on so you’re prepared. 

You Need a Committee Meeting: The Washington Township Committee will hold its regular monthly meeting at 7:30 p.m. Monday night at the municipal building. The public is encouraged to attend as the meeting is open to the public.

You Need to Check Out History: For the first time ever, Mars, Incorporated is opening a “pop-up” store on Main Street in Hackettstown. It will only be open for two weeks, so be sure to check it out!

You Need Some College Guidance: The Washington Township Library will host an event titled “College Admissions 101: The Key to Your Future Seminar Wednesday night at 7 p.m. The seminar is for college-bound students and their parents. Find out more here.

You Need to Rummage: The Long Valley Presbyterian Church’s annual fall rummage sale is in full swing this week, collecting goods Monday through Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. with shopping days open Friday and Saturday. Find out more about the big event here.

You Need to Register to Vote! That’s right, if you’re planning on being heard in the November 6 General Election, you need to be registered by Tuesday, Oct. 16 to be eligible. Registration forms are available online and at county and municipal clerk’s offices.
