The attack, conducted by Japanese military forces, was the impetus for America’s involvement in World War II. You Need to Know About a Road Closure: Morris County Engineering will be repairing the barriers on Newburgh Road bridge, connecting Washington Township and Hackettstown. The road will be closed to through traffic beginning at 9 a.m. today, and is expected to be closed for two weeks.

You Need to Save the Planet: The Washington Township Recycling Center will be open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 50 Rock Road for residents to dispose of their recyclables. Please keep bundles under 25 lbs. for the safety of the personnel.
You Need to See a Demonstration: The will host a Holiday Decoration Demonstration by the Garden Club of Long Valley’s Patti Bowman at 7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
