Spring Music, Power Wheels Race Upcoming in Morris County

The next few days are packed with great things to do in the area.

Free Oral Cancer Screening
Where/When: From 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Cazes Family Dentistry in Long Valley on Friday, April 29.
Why Go: As a precaution!
Pricing: Free.


Where/When: 7 p.m. at in Morris Plains on Friday, April 29.
Why Go: This beefsteak dinner with wine, beer, soft drinks and videocast horse racing will raise funds to support the Morris Plains Rotary’s charities.
Pricing: $50 per person.

County College of Morris Spring Music Concert
Where/When: 7:30 p.m. at the County College’s Randolph Campus on Friday, April 29.
Why Go: Because you want to hear CCM’s chamber choir sing musical theater favorites, accompanied by the department’s faculty and presented by the music and dance and performing arts departments.
Pricing: Free.

Where/When: At 8 a.m. at on Sunday, May 1.
Why Go: Because this March of Dimes-sponsored event will help fund research and create support programs for soon-to-be mothers.

Where/When:
Thursday, April 28 at the Somerset Courthouse in Somerville from 6. to 9 p.m.
Why Go:
To arm yourself and your child against bullying with information and prevention.

For the kids:


Where/When: From 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the on Thursday, April 28.
Why Go: Because children ages two through eight, as long as they bring a responsible adult, can join in on the race.
Pricing: $20 per vehicle.


Where/When: At the main branch of the from 2 to 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 28.
Why Go: Because families can learn about how mood relates to diabetes, as well as learn a relaxation activity meant to reduce stress.
Pricing: Free


Where/When: From 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the on Thursday, April 28.
Why Go: Because children of all ages can stop by anytime during the workshop to design a dinosaur. Two days later the museum will host Dino Day.
Pricing: $5 per child.


Where/When:

Why Go:
It's a unique community festival with free pony rides, hayrides, games, music and family fun. Sparkee, the Somerset Patriots mascot, will be there too!
Pricing:
Free admission and parking.


Where/When:
Friday, April 29, at 10 a.m., at the  in Bernards Township.
Why Go:
To grab the stroller and enjoy the emergence of spring along the trails of the park.
Pricing:
$10 per pair, and $5 per additional child.
