Support Volunteers With Pancakes This Weekend

Brew Pub's Oktoberfest kicks off at noon Sunday.

The weekend is finally here and the weather is picture-perfect for fall. Every time we turn around, a new leaf has changed its color and the sun begins setting earlier. Check out some of these noteworthy goings on around town.

You Need to Eat Pancakes For a Good Cause: The Fairmount Fire Company will host a pancake breakfast from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Sunday. It’s an all you can eat affair with pancakes, eggs, sausage, and pastries. Cost is $7.50 for adults; $4.50 for children 5 years and older; and free for kids under 5. All profits benefit the fire department. Go eat and support your volunteers!

You Need to Check Out a Quilt: The Common Threads Quilters will present their 10th annual Quilt Airing on Saturday at the Long Valley Presbyterian Church at from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free. For more information, .

You Need to Celebrate Oktoberfest: On Sunday from noon to 8 p.m. is the Long Valley Pub and Brewery’s annual Oktoberfest Food and brew will be available as well as musical performances by Mama’s Stew. Enjoy the day!

You Need to Check Out a Garage Sale: It’s on Friday at 9 a.m. at 280 Fairview Avenue and begins at 9 a.m. Looking for something you may need? Bring your wallet.
