Outages Decrease, Some Roads Open Wednesday

JCP&L working throughout the week.

Roads and outages remain high in Washington Township Wednesday morning, as the town enters day four after an unusual October storm that dropped a foot of snow in the area.

According to JCP&L's power outage map, some 2,700 residences are still without power in town. The area's energy provider continues to push for full restoration by Friday.

Road closures are abundant as well, with about a dozen roads or portions of roads still closed. Here's the current list:

Those roads include:

  • Coleman Road between Ridgeline Drive and East Mill Road
  • North Four Bridges Road between Laketown and Bartley Roads
  • Stephensburg Road between Old Turnpike Road and Cider Mill Road
  • West Valley Brook Road between Frog Hollow Road and Turtleback Road
  • Old Farmers Road between Christopher Street and Parker Road
  • Beacon Hill Road between Abedim Way and the Tewksbury Line
  • Apgar Road between Green Hills and Old Farmers Road
  • Old Turnpike Road between Mt. Lebanon Road and Rt. 57
  • Middle Valley Road between Zellers and Califon Roads
  • Schooley's Mountain Road between Flocktown and Newburgh Roads (previously opened)
