Washington Twp. Committee Meets Wednesday

Quilting, story time also available.

We’ve hit midweek in Long Valley, and we’re slowly melting. So, while you read this, be sure to stay cool, drink plenty of fluids, and gear up for what’s going on in town. Here’s a quick list of what you need to know.

You Need to Meet: The Washington Township Committee will hold its regular monthly work session at 7:30 p.m. at the municipal building. There’s plenty of discussion topics on the agenda, and the meeting is open to the public. See you there!

You Need to be Green: Also meeting at the Washington Township municipal building is the ‘Green Team’ or Sustainable Energy Committee. The group will discuss ways to save both money and energy in town at 6 p.m. The public is encouraged to attend.

You Need to Read Stories: The Washington Township Public Library is offering story time to children ages 3 to 5 from 10 to 10:45 a.m., and again from 11 to 11:45 a.m. Residents are invited to attend. For more information, call the library at 908-876-3596.

You Need to Make Quilts: The Common Threads Quilt Guild will meet at the Fairmount Presbyterian Church Community Center on Rt. 517 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. For those interested in quilting or would like to join a group, this is the place for you. For more information,
