Week in Review: Momentous Occasions Were Often

Patch recounts the week that was.

There are weeks filled with news, and there are weeks filled with news about momentous occasions and history-changing events. This week was the latter. The week began with news about the reopening of East Valley Brook Road, which had been closed to through traffic since March 15 for the reconstruction project on Tanners Brook Bridge. To see photos of the new bridge and roadway, go here.

As the West Morris Central High School year came to a close, Long Valley Patch took a look at some of the festivities that showcase student and faculty achievements. Long time choral teacher Dr. Vincent Rufino was inducted into the school’s Wall of Fame for his achievements at the school. . The school also celebrated its retiring faculty members and past Wall of Fame honorees, .

The biggest local event this week was clearly the West Morris Central High School Graduation on Tuesday night. The graduating class sent off 373 students, one of the largest groups in school history according to administrators, and Long Valley Patch, of course, was there for all of it. Who doesn’t enjoy receiving letters? Long Valley Patch certainly does! Two readers submitted letters to the editor this week, and we were more than happy to publish them.
