Garden Club Presents Fun & Funky Family Gardening Activities and Projects for Summer

The GCLV will have a June display at WTPL that will provide fun and funky ideas to involve the family in and learn about gardening creativity at the same time.

The Garden Club of Long Valley will have a June display at Washington Township Public Library.   The display will provide food for thought and fun/funky ideas to involve the family in, and learn about gardening creativity at the same time.

Learn about:

  • Displaying a butterfly planter that can be combined to encourage growing skills, learning skills and enjoyment for all and ways to make one inexpensively and creatively.
  • Encouraging a hike to collect fun woodland treasures and ways to utilize the treasure finds in gardens and containers.
  • Some au naturel spots with some deer proof plantings and creating a dinosaur garden.
  • Growing and using, or just going to pick strawberries and making some treats with them.
  • Recycling old containers and getting wacky with them while enhancing garden spaces.

The exhibit will be in the Library for the whole month of June.  Stop on by and get some great ideas for family fun.
