Central LAX Teams Take Down Cancer in Annual Benefit Game

Fundraiser benefits pediatric brain cancer research, presents scholarships in Brendt Migliaccio's name.

In what has become one of West Morris Central’s best fundraising events, male and female lacrosse players from the high school put on another terrific show Tuesday night to help battle cancer.

The annual Boys vs. Girls lacrosse game had all three levels compete – freshman, JV, Varsity  and alumni – to help raise funds and awareness for the pediatric brain tumor foundation.

This year’s event also presented Brendt Migliaccio Scholarships, sponsored by Riverside Fitness, to a male and female student.

Migliaccio, of Long Valley, was a lacrosse fanatic. The 15-year-old died earlier this year from a long battle with medulloblastoma. Paige Burton and Maxx Evans were this year’s recipients of the scholarship in Migliaccio’s name.
