Washington Township Historical Society Used Book Drive
The Historical Society is now accepting donations of used books for its Annual Book Sale to be held September 27, 28. 29. Books should be clean and in good condition. Please--no magazines, encyclopedias or text books.
Books may be dropped of at the Museum, 6 Fairview Avenue, at any time and left between the storm and inside doors. Please do not leave books on the wooden bench.
Funds from the sale will be used to augment operating and program costs of the Society, as well as, general upkeep for the 1830 Union School House.

The Historical Society is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. All donations are tax deductible as allowed by law. If you would like a return receipt for books, please include a descriptive statement of the number of books as well as a SASE and the Society will acknowledge your donation. The Society is not able to place a value on the donation.
The Washington Township Historical Society operates a museum in the Union School House, 6 Fairview Avenue in downtown Long Valley and is open Sundays from 2 to 4 pm or by appointment for group tours. The Society maintains local genealogy records as well as providing permanent and changing exhibits connected with local history and events. Programs are open to the general public free of charge and are held at the Museum unless otherwise noted. New members are always welcome. A background in local history is not necessary.
