Shelves have gone bare, yet the families still in need are at an all-time high.
The Washington Township Food Pantry has had a busy winter of helping local families through tough times, but reciprocation has been absent.
Serving about 70 local families – an all-time high for the decades-old pantry – the pantry’s shelves are depleted and donation area is empty.
Goods are always welcomed, including monetary donations. Located inside the Long Valley Presbyterian Church on Bartley Road, the food pantry’s drop-off times are Monday through Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., or Sunday from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.
The following is a list of goods accepted by the pantry:
CANNED RAVIOLI & SPAGHETTI
CANNED CHICKEN, TUNA & HAM
CANNED FRUITS & VEGETABLES
PLASTIC GARBAGE BAGS
PERSONAL HYGIENE ITEMS
