Ferrante, Campanaro, Bohr Repeat as Wrestling Champions

The "Michaels" (Ferrante and Campanaro) joined Robbie Bohr as repeat Northwest League (6th grade and under) champions Saturday at Wallkill Valley High School, leading Long Valley to a 4th place League finish.  Ferrante and Bohr earned their 2nd consecutive League titles, while Campanaro recorded his 3rd in a row.

Joining the trio in the finals was Colin Loughney, ultimately placing 2nd.  The Wolfpack entered 14 wrestlers in the tournament, placing a total of 12 wrestlers in the top eight:

Also this weekend, Marco Gaita and Matt Liberato joined Dan Kern and Grayson Dolan as the Wolfpack's youth state tournament qualifiers with 3 more qualification opportunities to go.  Gaita placed 1st in his qualifying tournament, while Liberato dropped a tough 1-0 decision in finals to place second.

The Tri-County team tournament was postponed a week because of the inclement weather, so the Wolfpack will complete it's season this coming weekend when the Tri-County team and Future Stars wrestlers pursue individual and team tournament championships.
