West Morris Central's Awards Night ... and Mrs. Ellie Sterling

Thoughts with her while presenting to a great representative of the community.

Tonight, June 18, I had the privilege of presenting the annual “Charles and Ellie Sterling Public Service Scholarship” award, on behalf of the Washington Township Democratic Committee, to Sean Lotosky, a senior at West Morris Central High School. This young man and his fellow award recipients represent the future of our community, and I hope that they will return here after collage to meet the challenges of that our township will faces going forward.

On another note, I was a substitute presenter for Mrs. Ellie Sterling who underwent heart bypass surgery today. She asked me to relate that information to her circle of friends, and I believe that includes the entire township. Mrs. Sterling and her late husband Charles have been voices here since the 70s. Both were (and Ellie continues to be) active in local Democratic committee activities, church affairs, and much, much more. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.
