Daughter of American Revolution, 68, Dies in Washington Twp. Home

Yvonne Kohrherr spent more than three decades as a member of the community.

Yvonne P. Kohrherr spent the last three decades living in Washington Township, where she passed away in her home on Nov. 14.

The 68-year-old retired teacher was born Aug. 29, 1945 in Newark and moved to Washington Township in 1982, according to her obituary on cochranfuneral.com.

Kohrherr grew up in Hillside, New Jersey and lived in Elizabeth before moving to the area. She was a special education teacher with the Willow Glen Academy in Andover, New Jersey before retiring in 2004.

The New Jersey native was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Capt. Daniel Vliet Chapter in Phillipsburg, the obituary said.

Kohrherr is survived by her husband Dennis, two daughters, a step-son, and two grandchildren.
